A carved glazed porcelain inkstone and water dropper bo

Length: 6 in. (15.3cm.)
Forming a double-gourd decorated in relief with two crabs and reed in brown and dark green glaze on a celadon ground, the unglazed interior of the lower section forming a the inkstone surface with a smaller receptacle for water decorated with persimmon glaze, the uper part serving as a water dropper with an opening at the stem of the grourd. The base is unglazed and bears a six-character Kangxi mark in a square recess with persimmon glaze.
The two crabs and reed is a wish of success for the Civil Service Exams.
