Length: 1 3/8 in. (3.55 cm.)

A small and cute netsuke carved to depict two puppies, one male and one female, positioned front to back and back to front, as goes the Yin and Yang; two small holes drilled in the male forming the himotoshi, the eyes inlaid with dark horn.

Provenance: Karl Schmidt

Condition: Front paw of the female repaired.
