A lacquered wood netsuke of Fujihime

A wood netsuke decorated in mat black lacquer with details in red and gold, depicting Fujihime wearing a broad hat and a kimono embroidered with scrolling waves, holding in her hand a leafy branch of Wisteria.
Fujihime is a Goddess known as Princess Fuji and daughter of the Mountain God. She lives on the peak of Mount Fuji. In Japanese art, she is usually depicted wearing a broad hat and carrying and branch of wisteria ("fuji" in Japanese).

Condition: Very good, with light wear and rubbing to the lacquer.
