A pair of porcelain basins decorated in blue, aubergine, red, green, black and yellow enamels, iron-red and gilt, similarly decorated with a scene from the garden of Seiobo Sennin, the Queen Mother of the West, living in the Kunlun mountains, where she grows the peach of immortality. She is depicted here seated and surrounded by other women and children in an outdoor landscape by a small pavilion, blossoming cherry trees, peonies and banana tree; a barrier bordering a pond with ducks, servants preparing a trays of peaches, the inside and outside border with bands of various geometric patterns in various colored enamels on underglaze blue.
