Qing Dynasty (18th century)

Carved from a fine and translucent piece, the brush washer forms a large banana leaf, with a loop handle around the stem.

The Banana Leaf is one of the Fourteenth Precious Objects of the scholar.

L: 5 1/2in. (14cm.)

Condition: Overall very good. There is however a small chip to one lobe, near the stem. The loop handle has also a minute chip along with a hairline crack.
