China, Late Ming/ early Qing Dynasty (17th/18th century)
The figure is elaborately carved in the form of Guanyin seated in the position of "Royal Ease", with the two arms extended to hold a raised knee. The head is carved from a separate piece and the wooden base has been secured with a screw and bolt.

Condition: overall in good condition, the surface with a beautiful patina and age cracks. There is a small repair to the fingers on one hand.
