AN INTERIOR PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE by ZHOU LEYUAN
Signed Zhou Leyuan and dated February 1893
The bottle is well hollowed and painted inside with black, brown and white pigments depicting on one side lotus flowers in a flower pot and a scholar's rock, and on the other side a horse in winter.
The bottle is signed 'Zhou Leyuan', dated 'February 1893' and inscribed 'painted in the style of Yun Shouping', a famous landscape artist of the Qing dynasty, who was active between 1633 and 1690.
