A large Suzhou-style jade snuff bottle
Qing dynasty (c. 1780 - 1850)
Height: 2 7/8 in. (7.34 cm.) excluding stopper
The bottle is made from a well-chose piece of jade, one half of black jade with light white veins and the other half of even white jade. The bottle is carved on each side an outdoor landscape showing a building, mountains and trees. The interior of the bottle is well hollowed and the exterior surface is high-polished.
