A FINE CINNABAR LACQUER BOX AND COVER Ming Dynasty (16th century) A fine cinnabar lacquer box and cover carved all-over with pavilions among rocks and trees on scrolling waves, with scholar's watching as fishermen row outside their windows. Diam: 3 1/4 in. (8.2 cm.)H: 1 1/2 in. (3.9 cm.) Condition: Overall good, with some age cracks on the cover, as can be seen in the images. The interior has most-likely been re-lacquered. Ref.
