A WOOD NETSUKE by TADAYOSHI
Signed Tadayoshi (Nagoya), Edo Period (19th century)
A very interesting carving imitating a children's toy modeled in the form of Daruma. Such toys were normally made of two pieces of tin attached together, making a clicking noise when pressed. Signed 'Tadayoshi' in ukibori in a rectangular reserve.
