A LARGE JADE CAMEL
Late Ming to early Qing Dynasty (17th - 18th century)
Of celadon nephrite with brown inclusions, the camel is lying down with his head raised upward. Together with a fitted box.
Camels are often found in Chinese art, depicting the Bactrian camels traveling along the Silk Road.
