PAIR OF GILT BRONZE HU-SHAPE COVERED VESSELS
Han Dynasty (206 BC - 221 AD)
Of the usual hu-shape form with a globular body and tapered neck, flanked with a taotie mask ring-handle on either side. The fitted cover is decorated with three phoenix, which would serve as feet when the cover is removed and placed on the ground.
