1820–1880
Lavender and green jadeite of compressed form with a tall and wide flared neck and a flat foot, the body carved with two ducks and bamboo on one side, and two egrets and bamboo on the other; together with a matching stopper.
The manner in which the artist has skillfully integrated the veins of the material with the carving is very interesting. The stone itself also displays an excellent and desirable combination of colors. Egrets and bamboo form the rebus "May you have peace all the way."
