A pale amethyst snuff bottle

Height: 6.4 cm.

Pale amethyst with spiderweb-like inclusions, the large bottle of rounded square form with a broad cylindrical neck and recessed foot, carved with a large mock-mask ring-handle on each shoulder.

Compare to a similar example of nearly same size from the J & J collection published in Moss et al. (1993), vol. I, cat. no. 102.
