A FINE GU YUE XUAN GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE

Beijing Palace Workshops, 1770–1795

Polychrome enamels on clear crizzled glass, of rounded rectangular form with a broad cylindrical neck and recessed foot painted with a gu yue xuan 月轩鼻 (Ancient Moon Pavilion) three-character mark in blue enamel, the body decorated with a blossoming plum tree, bamboo, and peonies growing from rockwork.
