A fine Daoguang mark and period "Fruit" bowl

A medium sized bowl with delicate “over-the-wall” decoration of fruiting branches of what is likely a persimmon tree. The persimmon fruit stands for “long life” and, coupled with the lingzhi also depicted at the base, reinforces the wishes for a long life. On the base can be seen the reign mark of the Daoguang emperor in iron red enamel.
