A rare silver image of two Buddha on a raised platform
Tang dynasty, 618 – 907
Height: 7 ¼ in (18.5 cm)
The image probably belongs to the late Eastern Wei dynasty, 6th century, when these metal sculptures were made on a raised platform and a mandorla ending in a peak at the top. The patina acquired over time has lovely azure tones.
