An archaic jade cong
Neolithic or Shang period, circa 2,000 – 1,200 BC
Height: 7 ¾ in (12.1 cm)
Width: 2 7/8 in (7.2 cm)
Of the usual tubular form drilled from both sides, the tall cong is of dark green color with white veins, with the original polish showing where the stone is unaltered.
