A transparent cranberry red glass bowl with rounded and gently flaring walls culminating in a thin, everted rim, the outside carved in high relief with two alternate roundels of dragon and phoenix, the foot lightly splayed.

For a yellow piece with a similar decor but with sprigs of lotus flowers between the roundels, see Hui (2000), cat. no. 75.

Provenance: acquired in Cape Cod in the early 1980’s
