A chalcedony agate snuff bottle
Date: 1780 - 1850
Of rounded square form with flattened sides, the front of the bottle carved in relief using the skin of the stone to depict four fishes, one of which blowing a coin in the air, forming the rebus 'niannian you yu', meaning "May there be surpluses every year".
H: 5.7 cm excluding stopper
Condition: Excellent, with an internal crack running from the back of the base.
