A jade pebble carved in the form of a crane

Late Ming to early Qing dynasty
17th / 18th century

A large pebble of green color wiht russet skin carved in the form of a crane clasping in its beak a branch of peach, both symbolizing longevity. Together with a carved wood stand and a fitted silk box.
